A Prayer For Joyful Sounds

Father, we’re thankful for the immense variety of sounds that fill our day such as voices, machinery, music, prayer, wildlife, insects, and so much more. Those we usually take for granted are blessings You give that bring joy and gladness to our lives. We pray for our brothers and sisters who are hearing impaired and thank you for the aids and support given to them through various ministries and organizations. There is no greater “sound of joy or gladness” than that of hearing the voice of one(s) who surrenders his or her life and receives glorious forgiveness. Help us to be faithful workers in the harvest so that we can rejoice in the victorious sounds of the spiritual harvest of the souls of men and women, boys and girls. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

A Prayer For The Broken-Hearted

Father, we’re so thankful that when we mess things up You don’t throw up Your arms, shake Your finger at us and say, “You made the mess. Now you fix it.” Plenty of others might do so, but Your compassion far exceeds Your judgment, for You did send Jesus to condemn, but rather to save us from our own sin and folly. We do lots of temporary “fixing up” in our lives that comes unraveled again or needs ongoing repair. But when we lay our broken hearts before You, You pick up the fragile pieces and restore us spiritually and emotionally. Thank You for binding up our wounds and pouring in Your ointment of healing for our sin sick soul. Only You, Father, can heal the body and spirit. Once we are touched by Your healing hand, we can’t help but reach out to others who need that touch as well. You call us to funnel Your love and comfort to others in pain with the same comfort we ourselves receive from You when we are undergoing pain, suffering, or loss. May we faithful in doing so. Amen.

A Prayer For All Peoples

Father, we consider with deep gratitude our endless blessings as we are among “all peoples on earth” transformed by the good news of great joy the angels delivered on that unforgettable night! The Savior, yes, the Lord Jesus Christ who was born in Bethlehem, the city of David, is Messiah. He is our Emmanuel, God with us, who has redeemed us from the pit of despair in this life and eternal damnation in the life to come. He will guide us through the dark and difficult places and set our feet upon a firm foundation to stay the course and sustain us on life’s path. Thank You for Your endless mercies. Amen.

A Prayer Of Thanks For God’s Love

Father, we thank You for the love letters from John who presents important truths and none so important as Your relentless love for us. You are love, the very embodiment of that which You teach us to feel and to practice. It is also seen in our attitudes which then is made visible by our words and our actions. We are amazed by Your love and rely on it for our salvation, our daily existence, our present and eternal future and for our every provision. We express our love to You by giving You our lives. How easy and inviting that is because You are a loving God and we fully rely on You! Amen.

A Prayer Of Thanks For Salvation

Father, I thank You for the marvelous transaction that took place when You delivered me from the domain of darkness and transferred me into the kingdom of Your Son in whom I have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. There is no earthly transaction that will ever bring about such a major change in my life or affect my future such as Your mighty deliverance. I was lost in darkness without hope but now, because of Your glorious deliverance and transfer, I walk in endless hope in the radiant light of Jesus. I have been found by Your love and kept by Your grace. Praise be to Your name! Amen.
