Father, we pray that we will not be fearful or ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that Christ will be exalted through us, whether by life or by death. Whatever happens, help us to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ so that we honor Your name and bring strength to the Christian body. It is in the name of Jesus that we pray. Amen.

A Prayer For Wholesome Words
Father, You know the exact number of words that will flow from my lips today, some of them meaningful and others meaningless. Would You help me to be conscious of the words I speak to others and make me sensitive to those who need caring words. Help me to look not only to my own interests but also to the interests of others as I offer words fitly spoken to those desperately needing to hear a word from You through a servant like me. Amen.
A Prayer Of Thanks For Boundaries
Father, there is no limit to all that You have provided for us such as material blessings, physical health, the love of family and unending promises that You have already fulfilled or that are yet to be fulfilled. But You have also set visible and well-defined boundaries that are for our own good. Temptations to either toe the boundary line or cross over into enemy territory will always be there, but You give us the power to resist and discernment to recognize the alluring deceit of the evil one. Help our eyes and hearts to remain focused on Your innumerable blessings and provisions as we stand against the god of this age who seeks to destroy us. May we not move the landmark of the faithful to join with the ranks of the faithless. In Your name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.
A Prayer For Steadfastness To Truth
Father, Your truths do not fluctuate nor are they subject to reinterpretation by the “expert” philosophers of our day. Your truths are explained through the inspiration of Your Holy Word and understanding given to us by Your Holy Spirit. May our ears be open and our eyes focused to see that Your truth is the same yesterday, today and forever. Amen.
A Prayer For Sensitivity To God’s Promptings
Father, would You help us to be quick to recognize and respond to Your brake promptings. Often You speak to us through Scripture, daily prayer, and other believers. You also speak to us through the undesirable consequences that come from our acts of disobedience. We want to see Your cautions and “stops” as part of Your loving way of keeping us from danger and redirecting us to that which will be of blessing in our lives and to those whom we seek to influence. Amen.
A Prayer For Cooperative Labor
Father, help us to labor wholeheartedly according to Your command. We want to bless You with a grateful attitude and bless our workplace in regard to our productivity and loyalty. We thank You for our daily provision and blessing that comes through the work of our hands. We also thank You for our employers who provide our paychecks to meet our monetary needs. We pray for those seeking employment that You will provide work but until that financial door opens we pray that You will provide through unexpected means and the generosity of others. As You bless us through the work of our hands we in turn bless You by faithfully giving back to You a generous portion to finance Your kingdom through the local church, Christian ministries, and other worthy endeavors. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
A Prayer For God’s Mercy
Father, we who once were outcasts from Your kingdom have entered through the door via the cross. Though we were unworthy like a beggar in bondage and alone; You made us worthy and now by Your grace, Your mercy has made us Your own. We will spend all of eternity thanking and praising You for Your infinite mercy and the undeserved favor we receive as Your redeemed children. We thank You for Christ who made it possible and it is in His name that we pray. Amen.
A Prayer For Harvesters
Father, we thank that You include us in Your overall plan to harvest souls into the kingdom of heaven. Open our eyes and burden our hearts as we look at the field of souls ripe for harvest. Show us ways in which we can enlarge our circle of influence as we work cooperatively with fellow believers in the great harvest of souls. What a joy it is to see people come to faith and grow in their Christian walk as we diligently plant seeds of salvation and water them with wisdom from Your Holy Word and through our Christian testimony. Amen.
A Prayer Of Thanks For God’s Free Gift
Father, we live in an age where both our land mailboxes and computer mailboxes are crammed with gimmicks. Offers are rendered to viewers through every media outlet so we’ve grown skeptical about receiving anything of value that we don’t pay for ourselves. Yet the greatest eternal gift offered to all of humanity is beyond our ability to pay. What we were unable to do through the Law You did by sending Your own Son, Jesus, in the likeness of our sinful flesh. In doing so He made Himself an offering for our sin so that we might receive forgiveness and be adopted into the family of God. Such wondrous love You pour out to sinners who disregard and defile Your Law. We are gratefully indebted to Christ Jesus our Lord who paid the ultimate sacrifice of laying down His life for our sins. which brought about forgiveness and places us in right standing with You, our loving Father. We cannot boast, for it is not in observance of the Law that we are cleansed, but through the free gift of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.We have freely received this gift and we want to freely share it with those who have not heard. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
A Prayer Of Heavenly Preparation
Father, we lift our eyes to the Eastern sky, for we know that You will soon return to gather believers in the air along with those who have already died. But until that wonderful event or until You call us home at our appointed hour of death we are to live as if this is our last day on earth. We want our hearts to be right, our conscience to be clear and our sins to be forgiven. We want to leave a godly legacy for those who remain, in hopeful expectation that they too will make proper preparation for their appointed day of death. Help us to live not just for here and now, but for our final landing in eternity. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
