A Prayer For Genuine Fellowship

Father, times of refreshing and gladness of heart are present when we share with each other; whether it’s food, warm conversation, working together or sharing one another’s burdens. When we are in unity we become one in purpose and accomplish great things for Your kingdom. We want to be obedient to the teachings of the apostles, enjoy regular fellowship with one another and also faithfully pray for each other so that we are the kind of church that pleases You and is effective in our community. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

A Prayer For Changed Lives

Father, we’re reminded through the writings of the Apostle Paul that our lives are observed by those who see us day in and day out. What wondrous change comes into our lives as we surrender our hearts to You. And yet we must be on guard so that we do not allow worthless idols to win our affections; otherwise the light of Your Son Jesus will be diminished in our hearts and in our witness. We will be no different from the darkened world in which You delivered us from. No person or object is of greater worth than that of Your Holy Spirit Who resides in our hearts and prompts us to lift our eyes toward our heavenly redemption that is drawing closer every hour. Thank You for saving us from the coming wrath when Your judgment is poured out on those who do not believe. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

A Prayer For Trust

Father, I know that doubt and uncertainty imposes fear while faith and assurance develops a calm, trusting spirit. I do not look to the unstable world for strength or encouragement but I look to Your unchanging Word where You fully assure me that nothing shall separate me from Your love. It is in Your strength and through Your power that I will remain faithful though tested by adverse circumstances. These come so that my faith is purified, proven genuine, and becomes sweeter than honey from the honeycomb. May my life bring praise, glory and honor to Jesus my Lord and Savior. Amen.

A Prayer Accepting Salvation

Father, we thank You for sending Jesus to live among us over 2000 years ago. We thank You for His teachings, His sinless life, and for His death on the cross that provides for our salvation. Each of us has sinned and we know through Scripture that the penalty for our sin is death. So we thank You for Jesus who died instead for our sin. We ask for Your forgiveness as we believe and confess that Jesus is Lord, because salvation comes to us through Christ Jesus our Lord. Thank You for Your gift of salvation.

A Prayer To The Unchanging God

Father, we thank You for the sweet glorious message that simple faith claims; that yesterday, today and forever Jesus is still the same. For still He loves to save the sinful, heal the sick and lame. He cheers the mourner and stills the tempest, we give glory to His name. Yesterday, today and forever Jesus is the same. Everything else changes but Jesus never, glory to His name! Be magnified in our lives we pray. Amen.
